September 2026 Intake: Open Day

Our Open Day for September 2026 is Tuesday 4 November 2025.  We are offering a short talk with the Headteacher followed by tours of the school at 9.30am and 1.45pm on this day.  Please book by clicking the following link,  https://forms.office.com/e/XmvsbqEdhr

Please email the school office on office@sissinghurst.kent.sch.uk if you wish to book onto a tour for any year group admission to Sissinghurst Primary School. The Headteacher is always happy to offer you a tour so you can make an informed decision.  We currently have spaces in our Sept 25 new YR class, our current YR class and in all KS2 classes.  We have a waiting list for our current Y1 and 2, but if you are interested in a place with us, whatever year group, we would love to hear from you.

September 2026 Intake: Our Admissions Policy can be found at the bottom of this page.

In deciding where you would like your child to go to school, it is really important to find out as much as you can about the schools themselves. Please email the school office on office@sissinghurst.kent.sch.uk if you wish to book onto a tour for admission to Sissinghurst Primary School.

The local authority (LA) coordinates all admissions for children starting school for the first time and the link below will direct you to the Kent County Council website where you will find all the information that you require. If you have a child in any other year group, and would like to enquire about places, then please do so directly through the school office. https://www.kent.gov.uk/education-and-children/schools/school-places/primary-school-places#tab-3  You can make applications from 4 November 2025 for your place.

How to apply - Applications for children starting Reception in September 2026 open on Tuesday 4th November 2025 and close on Wednesday 14 January 2026. If you provided an email address on your application Kent County Council will email you on Tuesday 15 April 2026 after 4pm to tell you which school you have been offered. You can also log in from 5pm on Tuesday 15 April 2026 to view your offer online. Offer emails will be sent to the email address provided on your application.

Appeals - If your child is due to start Primary school in September 2026, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (15 April 2026).  You need to submit your appeal in by Tuesday 19th May 2026 for it to be considered by July 2026, and can only appeal for schools that were named on your original application form. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.

For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.

If you wish to apply under our faith-based criteria you will need to complete an additional form called a Supplementary Information Form (SIF).
