ELSA in a school stands for Emotional Literacy Support Assistant. Many of our Teaching Assistants offer emotional support to our pupils when needed.  This includes help with friendships, social skills, emotions, bereavement, social stories and therapeutic stories, anger management, self-esteem, counselling skills such as solution focus and friendship.
