‘Enjoy, Achieve and Celebrate Together in Faith’

Welcome to Sissinghurst (VA) Church of England Primary School

Our school was first established in 1840 in the centre of the attractive Wealden village of Sissinghurst, famous for its castle and gardens, but relocated to Common Road in 2011. We  are a small village  school of 160 pupils aged 4-11 years.  As a Church of England (Voluntary Aided) school we have strong Christian values which underpin all that we do. Sissinghurst offers a happy, caring and friendly place for children to learn. We pride ourselves on our partnership with parents, the community and Trinity Church. All are committed to  supporting pupils to achieve their potential and we  would encourage you to visit and look around. The office staff would be only too pleased to arrange an appointment so that you can see our school in action.

Mrs Cathy Penfold

The school is getting many calls from families thinking of buying a property in the new development across the road. We would like to point out that, unfortunately, there is little to no chance that children from the new development will be able to secure a place at the school, as we are already full in all year groups and oversubscribed in reception. However, the school is in discussion with the developer to find ways to improve the situation.

We are having a new website built which should be ready for June 2018. In the meantime please enjoy the information and photographs currently displayed.
