Creative, courageous and aspirational learning in the strength of God

Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to the Sissinghurst CE Primary School website. We are a flourishing Church of England school set at the heart of a beautiful Kent Village. As you arrive at our school, we hope that you will feel the sense of community and joyfulness which is created by our wonderful staff team and fantastic children. We are blessed with a vibrant school community including: staff passionate about providing the best primary education for all pupils; supportive parents and our FOSS (Friends of Sissinghurst School) as well as children who are keen to learn and who embody our school Christian values of courage, forgiveness, service and kindness. Together with our excellent team of teachers and teaching assistants, we have a very effective Governing Body which makes education here a really enjoyable experience where every child’s potential is valued and cherished.
We have thought about the skills we want our children to develop in preparation for their future lives and have tailored our curriculum to achieve this aim.
Sissinghurst is a happy, caring and friendly place where children learn to:
Think critically and creatively, be able to solve problems and have the ability to adapt to an ever changing global environment. Have developed an independent enquiring mind; the ability to question, discuss and argue rationally; to make informed decisions and to apply themselves effectively to tasks. Have developed personal moral values and understand and respect the multi-cultural society in which we live. Value education for its own sake and will have acquired the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to enable them to continue with their education as a lifelong process.
We would encourage you to visit and look around. The office staff would be only too pleased to arrange an appointment so that you can see our school in action.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sissinghurst soon.

Extra- Curricular Clubs at Sissinghurst (VA) Church of England Primary School
We offer a wide range of school clubs throughout the day including before school, lunchtime and afterschool opportunities.
We believe that all children should have the opportunity to experience a range of clubs including music, arts, sports and drama opportunities. Many of our school clubs are free, some of our school clubs need to be paid for however we encourage all children to take part in a club and make provision for families where the cost of clubs may be prohibitive.

Harvest Walk 2022
At Sissinghurst we love to visit Trinty Church in the village. We go as a whole school to the church for our Harvest Festival, Christmas Celebration and Easter Service. Reverend Pete visits our school every other week with the Open the Book Team to lead Collective Worship.
Virtual Tour
