Reception Places
If you are wanting to apply for a reception year place, please do so via Kent County Council.
Please note that if we receive more applications that places available, we will apply our oversubscription criteria. Children who meet our criteria the most will be given priority. If you want your application to be considered on faith grounds, we urge you also complete a supplementary information form.
Summer born children
If your child was born between 1 April and 31 August and you want them to defer starting school until the next academic year please email primaryadmissions@kent.gov.uk for more information.
Special educational needs and disabilities children
Most children with special educational needs and disabilities can attend mainstream schools, whether or not they have an education, health and care (EHC) plan.
If your child has an EHC plan, then their school placement will be arranged via the SEN Team.
Find out more about applying for a school place for your SEND child.
SIF
If you wish to apply under our faith based criteria you will need to complete an additional form called a Supplementary Information Form (SIF).
Please contact the school(s) to obtain the form and once completed return directly to the school.

Deadline for late applications and waiting list requests for KCC. Deadline for places to be accepted or declined to school.
TBC for 2023
The deadline for accepting places and for primary school waiting list applications was 4 May 2022.
Appeals deadline
If you are not offered the schools you applied for
This may be because:
your child was not eligible for the school
there were more applications than spaces available so the school used its oversubscription criteria to prioritise which children to offer places to
In these cases KCC must offer your child a place at another school. This will usually be the next nearest school to your home with available places.
If you are unhappy with the offer
We suggest that you view the schools website to find out more about it.
If you are still unhappy you can put your child on the waiting list or make an appeal for any of the schools you applied for. You can do either or both for the same school or for different schools. For example, you can appeal for one school and put your child on the waiting list for another.
We recommend that you still accept the place your child has been offered. This will not affect your waiting list position or your appeal. It will guarantee your child has a school place if no places become available or if your appeal is unsuccessful. If the waiting list or appeal are successful you must remember to tell the school you were originally offered that you no longer want the place.
In 2022 the appeals deadline was Tuesday 17th May 2022 TBC f
